Paula Belcher graduated from Duncan High School in 1980. After working in the health careers field for eight years, she decided to go to college. She graduated from Cameron University in 1991 with a degree in education. Later she return to school and graduated with a masters degree in counseling from East Central University. In 1993, she began working for Duncan Public Schools. In 2015, she took off to take care of her parents and in January of 2016 she began working at Velma-Alma High School. She enjoys working with the students and helping them explore what is next after high school.

Paula Belcher started teaching in 1993. She has been employed with Velma-Alma Public Schools since January 2016.
In 1993, Paula began teaching at Woodrow Wilson Elementary in Duncan. Later she taught at Duncan Middle School for ten years as a seventh grade English Teacher. In 2012, She began working at Duncan High School as a senior counselor.
Paula and her husband, Donald, have been married for thirty years. Donald has worked at Halliburton since 1978. They have one son, Donald Andrew, who currently attend the Ohio State University where he is working on his doctorate in Bio-Molecular Engineering.
Paula and her husband enjoy getting to the great outdoors whenever possible. They enjoy hiking, fishing and relaxing by lakeside.
